The Great Black and White Photographers
William Klein was born in New York in 1928 into a family of poor Jewish immigrants. His dad's clothing business crashed in 1928. But his extended family was mainly wealthy Lawyers. Growing up in the 30's he experienced antisemitism first hand, both from students at school, on the street and he was a Jewish boy on an Irish neighborhood. His friends remember him as a bright, sarcastic kid who liked arts and humanities. By the age of 14 he was already three years ahead of his class he enrolled into college.to study sociology. At 18, he spent two years
in the US army, stationed in Germany and Franceas a radio operator, before completing his course.
As an artist using photography, he set out to re-invent the photographic document.his photos, often blurred or out of focus, his high-contrastprints (his negatives were often severely over-exposed),his use of high-grain film and wide angles shocked the established order of the photography world and he earned a reputation as an anti-photographer's photographer.

Pinhole Finale
1. On the negative pictures that I took all the spots that were once white on my positive became black and all of the black places became white. |
Negative (photography), an image with inverted luminance or a strip of film with such an image
Original camera negative, the film in a motion picture camera which captures the original image
The reason why my negative image is different from my positive is because the original image I have has been flipped from white to black which created an inverted photo.
3. When I take a picture with my oatmeal box sunlight refracts when it goes through the oatmeal box. It bends on the ends of the picture because the oatmeal box is cylinder like.

The Camera
aperture- an opening as hole, slit, crack, or gap
shutter- a movable cover, slide
exposure-the act of presenting a photosensitive surface to rays of light
depth of field- the range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usually a camera lens,
F-stop- the setting of an adjustable lens lens aperture, as indicated by an f number
focal length- the distance from a focal point of a lens or a mirror to the corresponding principal plane
visible spectrum- the range of wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation that is normally visible from 380 to 760 nm.
electromagnetic spectrum-the entire spectrum, considered as a continuum, of all kinds of electric, magnetic, and visible radiation, from gamma rays having a wavelength of 0.001 angstrom to long waves having a wavelength of more than 1 million km.
diaphragm- to reduce the aperture of (a lens, camera, etc.) by means of a diaphragm.
camera sensor- a darkened boxlike device in which images of external objects, received through an aperture, as with a convex lens, are exhibited in their natural colors on a surface arranged to receive them: used for sketching, exhibition purposes

I like this picture because of the effects and it color. It makes the building look like wavy lines with elevators in between. It has a dark mystery theme to it. In the top right corner it looks like the picture is being sucked in.
This picture has a ghost feel to it. The people in it look like ghosts, I dislike the color and one of the individuals in the photo doesn't look human. The whole setting just scares me
