2)A. I think the most powerful image in the slide show is in the "signing up" chapter when Ian hugs his friends before he leaves for the army. It has a powerful emotion to it. Ian is crying he will not know if he will make it back alive to see his friends and family again.

C. Photos are better than photographs in that they allow a person to really think about what the picture is implying and the mood that it sets. It encourages you to use your critical thinking skills.
