Sports Preview Assignment Warm Up- Umar Kurugu

Why is this part of a winning sports photography portfolio?
This photo is part of a winning sports photography portfolio because it show the act of celebration by the football team and a the climax of excitement and victory they pour a jug of water on their head coach in order to honor him for his effort in putting the team together and giving them success. It also a practice of my sports teams to pour Gatorade or water on their coach in celebration.

What is shutter speed? Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter on a camera stays open it order to take a picture.

Is this a key moment? Yes it is because it is the team's appreciation for their coach and all of his hard-work.
Could this have been planned? Yes I most likely believe that it was planned.

What advanced techniques are present in this photo?
The rule of third was used in this photo.

Cool Advertising Idea- Umar Kurugu

I like this photo because of the way it grabs my attention. The image of the Eiffel Tower creates a frame for the subject which is the AT&T phone. So I thought that it was really cool. This image would influence me to buy this phone if I had  AT&T as my phone service.

In this photo there is a picture of one of the academies at Akins. I think this photo is some of my best work that I have done because I have tweeked the contrast of the photo.
This photo represents building very well and what better way to do it then  to take a picture of Akins from the front of the main building, The photo appears to be slightly darker than its original.

The controversial April 1968 magazine cover depicting Muhammad Ali impaled by six arrows appeared on the heels of his refusal to be inducted into the U.S. Army because of his religious beliefs. (Ali, convicted violating the Selective Service Act, was barred from the ring and stripped of his title.) The cover, the second of three Esquire covers defending Ali, shows the boxer martyred as St. Sebastian, a patron saint of athletes and one who was shot with arrows for his steadfast religious beliefs. This was one of the covers designed by George Lois, Esquires Art Director during the 1960s.

Last but not least I have chosen a tornado for my final favorite amongst the photos, The reason why is because The wind and the sky go together so well and create a catastrophic atmosphere.
